The expansion of anesthesiology and surgery may be due to ongoing innovations and advances. They were also brought about by recent advancements in the field of minimally invasive surgery.

Track 2: General Surgery and its Specialties

The knowledge and duties associated with the preoperative, operative, and postoperative management of patients with a wide range of disorders, including those that may necessitate nonoperative, elective, or emergency surgical treatment, are centred on general surgery. General surgeons treat a wide range of illnesses, including those that affect the skin, breast, soft tissues, trauma, peripheral vascular surgery, hernias, and occasionally, endoscopic operations like gastroscopy and colonoscopy. Due to their wide breadth of expertise and requirement for proficiency in complicated decision-making, including operational intervention, general surgeons are particularly essential in remote or rural settings.

Track 3: Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeon

Specialists in treating difficulties with the hard and soft tissues of the face, mouth, and jaws include oral and maxi oral surgeons. Experts in the diagnosis and treatment of a wide range of conditions affecting the facial complex and skeleton, including the jaws and oral cavity, are oral and maxillofacial surgeons. Oral and maxillofacial specialists are able to address diseases that call for knowledge in both medicine and dentistry because to modern training in both fields. Numerous common oral surgery problems, jaw and congenital face malformations, facial injuries, oral cancer, infections of the salivary glands, temporomandibular joint abnormalities, and various generous diseases are among them. Among dental professionals, oral and maxillofacial specialists stand out in a variety of ways.

Track 5: Ophthalmology Surgeon

These professionals have received training in treating the complete eye, addressing visual issues, and offering surgical options for treating eye medical conditions. A future ophthalmologist should be aware that treating patients with infections that endanger eyesight is a common aspect of the field's practise. These patients frequently believe they are going blind, whether they do so accurately or incorrectly. For both the doctor and the patient, dealing with the possibility of visual deterioration or loss poses a unique problem that may be extremely stressful and distressing.

Track 6: Paediatric Surgery

The practise of having cosmetic surgery to enhance one's appearance is no longer just reserved for movie stars and other members of the entertainment industry. It has become open and honourable to exercise one's right to feel and look better. Through cosmetic surgery, one can enhance their physical appearance, which can lead to higher self-esteem, enhanced social interactions, and improved professional productivity. Common cosmetic surgery procedures include rhinoplasty (nose work), otoplasty, and the removal of birthmarks and scars (redress of conspicuous ears). Restorative procedures for the breasts include reduction, augmentation, and repositioning; abdominoplasty (tummy tuck); face-lift; liposuction; body sculpting; restorative procedures for the private parts; surgery to treat baldness (hair transplant); and blepharoplasty (rectification of loose eyelids).

Track 8: Application of Surgery

Utilizing operative manual or instrumental tactics over casualties to treat situations like damage or diseases, and in rare instances, to enhance patients' actual circumstances, is a crucial component of surgical strategies. Preoperative care, surgical method, and postoperative care are the three words that best describe the entire surgical process. The notable expert, surgical partner, anesthesiologist, circulation nurse, and scrub nurse are all members of the surgical team.

Track 9: Neurosurgery

The uterine lining is removed by the doctor using suction or a sharp curette during the operation known as dilation and curettage.

Track 12: Surgical Nursing

The surgical nurse will support patients, surgeons, surgical technicians, nurse anaesthetists, and other medical professionals at various points throughout the surgery. Track 13: Trauma Care Surgery

The surgical treatments used in treating traumatic injuries, particularly in the acute cases, are both surgical and non-surgical in trauma care surgical facilities. To assist the victims in an emergency, a team typically consists of a trauma care surgeon, nurses, and support personnel, such as a doctor.

Importance and Scope

Modernization and changes in lifestyle have contributed to the prevalence of a number of ailments, including cardiovascular problems, neurological disorders, tumours, and others. Although the cause may be inherited, acute, or chronic, in exceptional circumstances, surgical assistance offers a chance to save the person's life. Therefore, there is a need for the unstoppable evolution in the field of surgery as the need for surgeries to treat the wounded people rises.

The proliferation of advanced treatment procedures and the increase of surgical cases have sparked desire in more automated devices. Automation depends on the integration of a few devices into frameworks that are therapeutically useful. Medication delivery is swift and practical with coordinated frameworks.

The number of surgical procedures has been sharply rising in recent years, and the field of surgical instrumentation is likewise observed to be expanding at the fastest rate. The National Center for Health Statistics recently conducted a study, and the results show that cardiac procedures rank highest and ear surgeries rank lowest. The statistical analysis of various sorts of procedures is displayed in the graph below.

According to figures from the European Union, cataract surgery—the most common type of surgery is carried out 4.2 million times in European member states, but only 300 times per 100,000 people in Cyprus. The discipline of aesthetic surgery was found to have experienced the biggest rise in recent years among all surgical specialties. The bar chart below lists the top five cosmetic procedures performed on women.

The development of cautious instrumentation has also been increasingly important over the past few years, as shown by a recent study that indicated the market for electrosurgical devices was valued at 740 million US dollars in 2015 and is predicted to reach a peak of 1.3 billion US dollars in 2024.

Surgeons Meet 2022

5th World Congress on Surgeons organized by ME Conferences during June 20, 2022 as a webinar and was based on the Theme-Disseminating Advance Research and Innovative Technology in the field of Surgery.

On behalf of our Organizing Committee, we would like to extend our appreciation for continued support and active participation of the Organizing Committee Member, Keynote Speakers and our Moderators for the successful completion of the Surgeons Meet 2022.

The researchers, surgeons, young researchers, students from different countries actively participated in the Conference, discussed the most important trends and issues in analytical sciences. Every Participant was having great reviews and had amazing experiences from the event.

Surgeons Meet 2022 was started by the opening ceremony which was followed by the Keynote speech and we are overwhelmed with their presence and generous response. 

We would like to take the privilege to felicitate our keynote Speakers and honourable guests for their prominent contribution towards the smooth functioning of this esteemed event.
